JEWISH FACILITY SOLAR INITIATIVE (JFSI)

update

As of the early part of 2009 JFSI has been put into hibernation. Though the JFSI approach to solarizing Jewish facilities remains potentially viable, the ongoing financial crisis and capital crunch has made it difficult to raise the fiances necessary to fund our projects. Though we hope to be able to offer the JFSI service in the future, if and when economic conditions permit, we have suspended operations and are not currently seeking facilities with which to partner.

We at JFSI still support solarizing jewish facilities so please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about solar power for your facility or alternative ways to finance such a project.

WHAT IS JFSI:

JFSI is a "solar power aggregator" dedicated to providing clean, renewable solar power to Jewish facilities at prices competitive with the electricity rates they’re currently paying.

JFSI's mission:

JFSI’s mission is to provide a means for Jewish facilities to use clean, renewable, dependable solar power at prices competitive with their current electricity rates and without the facilities having to contribute any up front capital to “go solar”.

Tikkun Olam is inherent in a solar system, and it would be great if your facility could "go solar", but in the real-world (and in our humble opinion) your organization has more important things to do with its human resources and financial capital than to develop and manage the installation and operations of an energy generation system (even a morally correct one)...

That is why we formed JFSI.
